Essential storage
The invoice generator works entirely in your browser. It saves your work — invoices, quotes, saved customers, products and settings — using your browser's local storage on this device only, along with your cookie choice. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and clearing your browser data removes everything.
Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics to count page views and understand which parts of the site are useful. This reporting is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Until you accept non-essential cookies, Google's consent mode keeps analytics storage denied: before that, no analytics cookies are set and any measurement signals Google receives are cookieless and cannot identify you. We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits; it is cookieless (no cookies, no personal identifiers) and needs no consent.
Google Ads measurement
We use the Google tag (gtag.js) for Google Ads conversion measurement. The tag script loads on every page, but ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalisation stay denied until you accept non-essential cookies — before then, no advertising cookies are set and any signals sent to Google are cookieless.
Advertising
FreeInvoices is free because it shows ads supplied by Google AdSense. The AdSense tag loads on every page so that Google's certified consent platform can ask visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland for permission before any advertising storage is used; ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalisation stay denied until you agree. The ad placements shown inside our pages are only requested once you have accepted non-essential cookies — through Google's consent message where it applies, or through the banner shown elsewhere. Until then, any ad requests Google makes for its own account-level formats are cookieless and non-personalised, and no advertising cookies are set. If you reject non-essential cookies, none of our ad placements are requested at all.
Changing your choice
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change your mind at any time by clearing this site's stored data in your browser settings. If you are in a region covered by Google's consent message, use the privacy link on that message to change your choice. Otherwise the consent banner will appear again on your next visit. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not limit any invoicing feature.
